What's the status with current xf86-video-intel and/or xf86-video-intel-legacy?
Comment by Bráulio Barros de Oliveira (brauliobo) - Sunday, 12 April 2009, 00:46 GMT
well, still the same. i'm using the current intel drivers and other packages.

sorry, i'm bugged. in the chroot the package intel-dri wasn't installed. installing it fixed the problem.

still, google earth is unusable. when getting near to a place a blue fog appears making impossible to see anything. this also happens with google earth inside a virtualbox windows guest with opengl enabled.

have you reported the bug upstream?
Comment by Bráulio Barros de Oliveira (brauliobo) - Tuesday, 09 June 2009, 19:48 GMT
no, should i report it to intel-gfx mailing list?
Comment by Roman Kyrylych (Romashka) - Thursday, 11 June 2009, 09:06 GMT
Actually I meant Google :), but intel-gfx may be fine too.
BTW, do you have the same issue on some other distro with the latest xorg and intel drivers?
Comment by Jan de Groot (JGC) - Thursday, 11 June 2009, 09:09 GMT
It seems kernel 2.6.30 will fix most issues with intel and make google earth usable again.
