Package depends only on kernel26. But the installed modules goes actually in /lib/modules/2.6.27 So the depend should respect the kernel version, ex.: kernel26>=2.6.27 kernel26<2.6.28 to avoid that this package could be installed without the necessary kernel. Additional info: * package version(s) open-vm-tools-modules 2008.10.10-1 * config and/or log files etc. could not prepare transaction kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.27-ARCH/modules.alias exists in filesystem kernel26: /lib/modules/2.6.27-ARCH/modules.ccwmap exists in filesystem This error result cause a user installed open-vm-tools-modules after the installation. When he then run a pacman -Syu this error occours during kernel upgrade. |
