I think that server is having some load problems. Can't login with anonymous FTP from the Netherlands or Norway.
Comment by Gerhard Brauer (GerBra) - Wednesday, 26 November 2008, 10:51 GMT
Same from Germany.

The server is quite occupied right now because of the Fedora 10 release.
There is different classes for access, for foreign users we allow 100 connects, for domestic users we allow 300 connects. I had no problems getting in from a Danish site just a few moments ago. I would believe the fedora 10 craze will be over in a few days.

I set the foreign user count up from 100 to 200, the server should be able to deal with that number

I have added this mirror to our Mirror Check. It will be probed every hour; results can be seen at http://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorStatus. (Those checks are done from Berlin/Germany)

Does rsync access need added? If so, what is the IP the rsync requests will come from?
Comment by Keld Simonsen (keld) - Sunday, 30 November 2008, 20:36 GMT
I do not think it is necessary to have rsync address for this, or what would you recommend?
I do have a rsync daemon running, but with access to only limited parts of the ftp server.
Comment by Dan McGee (toofishes) - Sunday, 30 November 2008, 22:25 GMT
Added to pacman mirrorlist.
Comment by Dale Blount (dale) - Monday, 01 December 2008, 13:24 GMT
Keld, I was asking if you wished to have access to the rsync.archlinux.org server to mirror directly from us instead of where you were mirroring from now.
Comment by Keld Simonsen (keld) - Monday, 01 December 2008, 16:35 GMT
Yes, it would be nice to have rsync access to the source.
the access would be from ftp.klid.dk 192.38.78.162
Comment by Dale Blount (dale) - Monday, 01 December 2008, 16:40 GMT
Added.

Implemented in Pierre/GerBra's mirrorcheck and pacman's mirrorlist, but not listed on http://www.archlinux.org/download/

The original feature request is implemented.
I wrote a separate message about Download page to the ML.
Comment by Keld Simonsen (keld) - Wednesday, 11 February 2009, 20:08 GMT
ftp.klid.dk is still not on the mirror download list at http://www.archlinux.org/download/
which was the original request.
Comment by Dan McGee (toofishes) - Wednesday, 11 February 2009, 21:33 GMT
Um...Shows up there quite clearly to me, I'm not sure what you are looking at.
