DetailsBSD process accounting is disabled in kernel26, at least in 2.6.27.6-1. From /proc/config.gz:
# CONFIG_BSD_PROCESS_ACCT is not set Seeing that most features are enabled in this kernel I'm guessing that it's disabled by mistake? The userland acct-package is in extra so I guess it was enabled at some point. At least atop need BSD process accounting to function properly (the atop kernel-patches would be even better but I guess that's too much to ask for) and I'm sure that more system monitoring tools do. |
