The kernel detects partitions there. What type of partitions and what type of partition table is used on the disk? Do you get devicenodes in /dev for the partitions detected there?
Comment by Mik (aleextra) - Monday, 17 November 2008, 10:02 GMT
Different:) I tryed to make this partition visible. When it crashed there was one XFS, and free space for ntfs.

Right now
created 2 partitions

You created an XFS filesystem on /dev/sdd1 but you are trying to mount /dev/sdd. Can you try to mount /dev/sdd1 please?

Have you attached this firewire disk to some other computer and verified if it's working correctly? Have you also tried another firewire controller?
