DetailsDescription:
Catalyst 8.11 package in testing is a mess, it doesnt work well on my comp (no hardware 3d) and i suspect its because it uses the ubuntu pre released version of the driver, while there is already a normal release that could hit testing, possibly work and the move to stable finally: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/linux/linux-radeon.html I tried to create a working pkgbuild myself but failed :/ someone who knows better than me how the driver works is needed p.s. i didnt submit my errors with the currect package since its irrelevant right now, the fact is that the driver uses old deprecated sources. p.s. 2 i put this as a medium severity since arch is rolling and its been couple of catalyst versions since arch updated it, the old one failsto work on lots of games (segfaults on scourge for example) |
