The page is showing the non ASCII characters as question marks,
resulting in the previous list looking like:

I'm not sure what those missing chars should be. If there's some encoding error then there should be a change in the code shouldn't there be?

God I hate character encodings. Dusty, mind informing us/me of what you did? Considering I'm the one entering these donors, I just copy/paste the name direct from the "Donation received" emails I get... is that causing issues?

I just went into the admin and changed the ?s to the appropriate characters... copy past should have done that ok. :-S

Do you happen to still have the original names with non broken characters, I have no idea what the question marks in Loui's comment are supposed to be replaced with. :(

Aaron- if you still have these names, we can get this all resolved now. I just switched the whole archweb database over to UTF-8 encoding, so we should be good to go now and won't encounter these lovely problems again. Here are the needed ones:

Thanks... I tried to change it in the django admin but it crashed. Then I tried to change it in the database and it seemed to work but it doesn't show up properly in the django admin... so I'm waiting for the cache to clear to see if its correct in the developers page. I clearly have something set up wrong in the django admin.

There are still four names with question marks if you search archlinux.org/donate/. They are the same four names listed in Dan's select above.

PS. If the page was renamed to something other than archlinux.org/donate after 16/06/2006 it might also be available there.
archlinux.org/donate doesnt return any results.
