vmware-guestd fails to start without libdnet.1 and libicui18n.so.40 vmware-toolbox fails to start without libicui18n.so.40 open-vm-tools package should depend on libdnet and icu packages. Additional info: * package version: open-vm-tools 20008.10.10-1 (I'm in [testing]) |

I've just seen the wiki page for VMWare install, and it is written
that if you get an error message you should install these
dependencies. I'm new to Arch Linux, so I don't know what exactly
is the philosophy on this point (slackware's resolve yourself
dependencies or other's autoinstalling dependencies) but I think
these two packages should be installed.
