DetailsDescription: Gnome brightness "splash" doesn't appears when we adjust the bright with shortcut buttons (like fn+F5 and fn+F6). If you keep pressed, the splash appears, but if only press don't so. The bright level works, just the splash don't appear.
Additional info: * package version(s): libgnome 2.24.1-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Enter in Gnome Desktop Press brightness shorcut in your laptop. The adjust brightness works, but don't appear splash. |

fn+F5 and fn+F6 are handled by your hardware. It's possible that gnome-power-manager and/or hal doesn't get the correct key events when you press them shortly. When I press these keys on my laptop, the screem dims or gets brighter and my dmesg output is full of unrecognized keys.
