gnome is not associating the file:/// protocol with nautilus. Problems started only after updating to gnome 2.24. When trying to open Places > Home for example an error message pops up and nautilus doesn't start. Could not open location 'file:///home/user' (example) No application is registered as handling this file." However it's possible to open Computer and Network under places without problems. Additional info: * gnome 2.24 Steps to reproduce: * In gnome go to Places * Try to open something like Home. * Verify that an error message (like the one mentioned before) is displayed. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Not a nautilus bug, nautilus can't help it if some other app hijacks the open folder action.

Solved. Associate some folder to nautilus by right clicking on it, proprieties, Open With and choose File Browser (Nautilus).
