Description:

When I play large files (MPEG2-TS recordings from DVB-S >4GB) vlc skips to the beginning of the recording as soon as the file position gets above approximately 4 GB. Additionally when I drag the slider to somewhere around 5 GB in a 6 GB file it jumps to somewhere around 1 GB. It seems it is using a 32 bit pointer which is not enough for such big files.
Downgrading to 0.8.6i-3 solved this here.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
vlc 0.9.3-1
vlc 0.9.4-2
vlc-git 20081011-1
* config and/or log files etc.
