DetailsDescription:
Postgresql can be configured with a large number of password backends including LDAP and PAM. Since PAM is installed by default on a basic Arch system, it would seem logical that Postgresql would be built with it as a possible backend. It doesn't need to be configured as the default password backend if you want to keep it "stock", however it would be nice to have the option. Additional info: Attached is the updated source package with a basic pam.d file |
