Details

When I try to run gparted, I get the following:

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ gparted
/usr/sbin/gpartedbin: error while loading shared libraries: libpangomm-1.4.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

My system is:
stathis@archlinux ~]$ uname -a
Linux archlinux 2.6.26-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Sep 9 10:15:21 UTC 2008 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.90GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

I could be wrong, but IIRC libpangomm is part of gtkmm... check to ensure that gtkmm is installed and up to date?

pangomm is a standalone package in testing for i686. It's a dependency for gtkmm if I'm not wrong, so it should be installed if you're using testing.

I have testing enabled:

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ grep "testing" /etc/pacman.conf
[testing]
#Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686
Server = ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/archlinux/testing/os/i686

I solved the issue by removing gparted and reinstalling it via pacman.
