Details

Description:
In amsn i cant write æ ø å.
I can select norwegian language and everything is in my language.

I can write æ,ø,å in emesene and all other programs i am using.


Additional info:
amsn 0.97.2-1

Steps to reproduce:
Install amsn from pacman.
Open amsn, log in.
Talk to someone, try typing æ,ø,å.

can you write those chars in any program that is written in tcl/tk?

Hmmm. Dont know of any other tcl/tk programs....

Installed a german translation program called "ding" which is tcl/tk-based (i think).
Everything worked like it should and all characters could be written...

Found the solution. The locale in rc.conf was written a little wrong.
nb_NO.utf-8 should be nb_NO.UTF-8! My fault!

This also solved a problem with java swing that did not recognize "alt-gr" on my computer.
