Details

Description: If you try to open a video or a dvd in a terminal, vlc complains about missing font. This is the error:

[00000912] freetype spu text error: failed to load font file /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont/FreeSerifBold.ttf

The correct font path is: /usr/share/fonts/TTF/FreeSerifBold.ttf

Additional info:

Steps to reproduce:
Open vlc in a terminal;
Open a dvd.

have you tried to update your font cache? (e.g. reinstall ttf-freefont)
how about other fonts (e.g. what happens when you temporarily uninstall that font)?

Sorry Romashka but i don't understand how that operation can fix the problem, the default font path in the vlc package is simply wrong because the path "/usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont" in archlinux is "/usr/share/fonts/TTF", however reinstalling the ttf-freefont package doesn't solve the problem.
My question is: is it possible to change the default font path in the vlc package with the right path without setting it manually?
