DetailsDescription:
When I try to insert a text object and I choose a font from the choice, nothing happens. I simply can't change the font! The font listbox behaves strangely in general. When I select some text and try to change the font of the selection, it is impossible for me. Anyone else has these problems? I can't find this bug on Inkscape tracker... Additional info: * package version(s) Inkscape 0.46 (Sep 4 2008) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Open Inkscape, hit F8, click to some place on the screen and type some text. Then try to change the font of that text, try to write something else etc. |

It's no #10765 bug. Inkscape no crashes, just impossible to change font.
However, you can use Ctrl+Shift+T to do the desired stuff.
Here is the upstream report that does not seem to interest anybody:

Note that the caret stays in the edit box so the selection isn't yet accepted!
Press enter and the font will change. The good old enter...
For me this isn't a bug. The caret staying in the edit box says without a doubt that the user hasn't confirmed the choice.
And it's not the only control with problems in this Inkscape version (0.46-11, mine is i686).
Given that I rarely use Inkscape, I can't collect a list.
