DetailsDescription: After installation of the gv package the icon of gv (located here /usr/share/pixmaps/gv.xbm) is not appearing in my menu. The launcher works well, though and the .desktop file looks correct. When I try to edit the entry for GV and add the Icon gv.xbm in the gnome menu editor, it is displayed in the property window but after I closed the property dialog it disappears again.
Additional info: * gv version is 3.6.5-1 * archlinux is up-to-date * Maybe this is some kind of a caching problem related to gdk-pixbuf? Steps to reproduce: 1) Just open your applications menu in gnome and browse to "Office" where the entry GV resides. Note the missing icon. |

Somehow GTK ignores the .xbm extension. Renaming the .xbm file to .xpm fixes this bug.

Yes, you're right. But I had to tell gnome explicitly to see the new icon. Is it a bug of gnome or should somebody tell the gv maintainer to change xbm to xpm? Would be nice to fix this little bug, especially since the solution is so easy ;)
