DetailsDescription: uppgrading to latest kernel26 2.6.26.5-1 gives dmesg errors apparently due to sata_nv.patch. For further reference, see Additional info below.

I can confirm this is a problem with the sata_nv patch included with Arch kernel -- removing the patch and rebuilding kernel26 package solves the issue.

the patch fixed a different problem and it is already included in upstream .27 series, seems we need to wait for another fix :/

The new kernel fixed the problem for me. So I think this can be closed now.
