DetailsDescription:
Hi!! Just now I have time to post here..... Month ago, I've updated my ArchLinux to Kernel 2.6.26 and Nvidia-173.14.12-3, but I don't know why my Geforce 8600 GT loose her potential. I use the command GLXGEARS to see my graphic card performance, and for my surprise that's the result: 13010 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2601.960 FPS 14103 frames in 5.1 seconds = 2774.469 FPS 14471 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2892.587 FPS 14448 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2879.706 FPS 14425 frames in 5.1 seconds = 2850.107 FPS Before the atualization, I'm with Kernel-2.6.25.11-1 and I have these values up to 9000.000 FPS and 10000.000 FPS..... Now I'm using the Kernel-2.6.25.11-1 and nvidia-driver-173.14.12-1 (from archlinuxfr repo). These two work perfectly, but I want to use Kernel-2.6.26..... I made many processes like: - Install nvidia drivers manually from the nvidia site; - Install nvidia drivers from AUR ( included the beta one's ) - Install the 3 atualizations of the kernel-2.6.26 for Arch and the nvidia drivers to, like I say above... None of the tests was sucessfull.... Please someone now this problem or now if this is a bug in these new drivers or in the new kernel??? Thanks for all and sorry for my bad english :D !!! Additional info: * kernel-2.6.25.11-1 * nvidia-driver-173.14.12-1 (archlinuxfr repo) |
