DetailsDescription:
Scilab-4.1.2 has a serious bug in an output routine. Some numbers are not printed correctly. I can't determine if this bug is in scilab itself or in some library it uses, but I other packages don't seem to have the problem. The scilab binaries distributed at scilab.org work fine (also version 4.1.2). The Arch linux scilab binaries exhibit the problem and scilab compiled directly from source on Arch linux (from abs tree) also exhibits the problem. Steps to reproduce: -->a=1-1e-16 a = 2. -->a-1 ans = - 1.110D-16 |

Additional comments about closing: We gotta move to scilab 5.0.1 anyway. Will do ASAP.
