On properties page of this plugin both SVN interfaces (JavaHL and SVNKit) is 'Not Available'. I tried to install subclipse manually through their site-update and all works fine. May be some dependencies (between eclipse parts) are broken and manually installation downloads all necessary parts?

JavaHL should be provided by subversion, which is included in the dependencies:
[bardo@paradigm ~]$ pacman -Ql subversion | grep javahl
subversion /usr/lib/libsvnjavahl-1.a
subversion /usr/lib/libsvnjavahl-1.la
subversion /usr/lib/libsvnjavahl-1.so
subversion /usr/lib/libsvnjavahl-1.so.0
subversion /usr/lib/libsvnjavahl-1.so.0.0.0
subversion /usr/lib/svn-javahl/
subversion /usr/lib/svn-javahl/include/
subversion /usr/lib/svn-javahl/svn-javahl.jar

It should be fixed with the new subversion, which should hit the repos in the next few days.

By the way, I updated because the old version didn't work anyway with Ganymede, so there was no difference. Was it working for you?
Comment by Artyom (urandom) - Monday, 18 August 2008, 11:33 GMT
Yes, old version works with Ganymede for me now (I downgrade to 1.2.4 when noticed what 1.4.3 don't works).

I got subclipse to work with svnkit, by installing the latest beta (4710) from http://svnkit.com/download.php.
The download from subclipse.tigris.org contains an older one (4583). Which didn't work for me.

This is what I've tried:
- Downgrade eclipse-subclipse to previous build. This doesn't work for me.
- Install eclipse-subclipse in *all* the locations supported by the dropins directory structure. None of them shows me svnkit as available in Window->Preferences->Team->SVN.
- Get the latest beta of the svnkit jar and install it as suggested by garns. This got the best result of everything I tried: the plugin is shown as installed in Help->About Eclipse SDK->Plug-in Details as SVNKit Library Plug-in 1.2.0.4710, by TMate Software. Anyway in the Preferences it is still shown as unavailable, and under Window->Show View->Other->PDE Runtime->Plug-in Registry it is present, but if I right click and select Show Active Plug-ins Only it disappears.

I'm about to lose my head :)

Ok, now that subversion 1.5 is out of the door and I found some time to work on this bug I think I got it. This new subclipse depends on mylyn, which I just added to [community], and it works only with the 3.0.0 version, not the latest 3.0.2 (kids, don't try to upgrade at home). It works for me, but I'd like to have some feedback since in my experience eclipse plugins tend to behave in quite a random way on different systems.
