DetailsDescription:
CUPS can't start due to wrong gnutls version. It happens right after installation when trying to start cupsd (/etc/rc.d/cups start) Additional info: * package version(s) 1.3.8-2 * config and/or log files etc. I've tried to force downgrade of gnutls from the extra repository After that I've discovered using ldd that cupsd executable needed both versions of gnutls. ldd $(which cupsd) | grep gnutls libgnutls.so.26 => not found libgnutls.so.13 => /usr/lib/libgnutls.so.13 (0xb79e9000) Steps to reproduce: 1. Install cups (pacman -Sy cups) 2. Start cups (/etc/rc.d/cups start) (here came the first error) /usr/sbin/cupsd: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.13: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory 3. Downgrade gnutls (pacman -Sdf extra/gnutls) 4. Start cups (/etc/rc.d/cups start) (here came the second error) /usr/sbin/cupsd: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.26: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Cups works fine, just make sure you update your complete system and not just cups.
