Description:
I'm using kernel26 line. Recently during update process my machine went out. Unfortunately it was right after new kernel was installed but before initial ramdisks had a chance to generate. This left me with unbootable machine. Of course repair isn't a rocket science ;) but it is a bit inconvenient.

I want to respectfully ask Arch Community if current kernel upgrade manner should be changed to avoid such annoyances in the future. I think that we should take steps to make kernel update process an atomic operation thus closing the aforementioned gap.
