I could not yet confirm this bug on multiple PC's due to no responses in the IRC chatroom.
I'm using a non-testing-preferred version of archlinux that runs on the generic kernel.
When starting nscd -d, some of the output is as follows. This output goes on forever. The
characters keep differing on each run. So there's a bug in here somewhere, and since this
is glibc and I don't know where it comes from, i marked it as critical.

what is PID 23855? I don't think this is a bug in nscd, but a bug in an application asking repeated times for corrupted service names.

You got me. I think there was a badly configured nsswitch.conf. This bug may be closed... as obviously I was in error.
