Description:
Archlinux KDM themes ("Archlinux Simply Black" and "Archlinux Soft Grey") doesn't work on KDE 4.1 out of the box. When I tried to use "Archlinux Simply Black" I've got an error message on KDM start: "cannot parse theme file /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/archlinux-simplyblack". I fixed that by renaming theme file "GdmGreeterTheme.desktop" to "KdmGreeterTheme.desktop" and replacing in its content "[GdmGreeterTheme]" with "[KdmGreeterTheme]". It seems that KDM 4.1 changed the naming scheme. Steps to reproduce: 1. open file "/usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc" 2. set option "UseTheme" to "true" and "Theme" to "/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/archlinux-simplyblack" 3. run KDM Steps to fix: 1. replace both theme files "GdmGreeterTheme.desktop" with attached files |

Just a status update. I don't use KDE so I've installed a second
copy of Arch to VirtualBox and should have this fixed up by
tomorrow night.
The same applies to the other archlinux-themes-* packages.
archlinux-themes-kdm 1.2-1 works fine. Thanks!
