The recommended version of speex is 1.2rc1 (see
http://www.speex.org/downloads/), which is needed by pulseaudio's latest version. Please
upgrade it.

I don't see this as a bad request. Upgrading speex so people can
use "bleeding edge" stuff.
Done, I upgraded it and is on its way to extra as I write, so this
can be closed as soon as it hits extra.
