DetailsDescription:
printer-applet is missing in the kdeutils package, although it should've been included there. That's probably because pycups wasn't installed when the package was built. Also, can you include hal-cups-utils and system-config-printer for autoconfiguration? However, I get the error below if they are included: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Connection ":1.23" is not allowed to own the service "com.redhat.NewPrinterNotification" due to security policies in the configuration file So maybe there's a configuration needed somewhere. Additional comments about closing: KDE 4.2.0 should have a working printer configuration. I sugest we'll wait till then. This printer-applet-thing seems borken and incomplete. (though I am open to patches ;-))
