Details

Description:
/etc/rc.d/kdm isn't available when installing the kde4 group
Therefore I think that kde-common should be added to the kde group for installing kde

Additional info:
* KDE 4.1

Install kde4 group without any pre installation of kde

That also prevents those who want to wait to upgrade to KDE 4, to use the option 'IgnoreGroup = kde' in /etc/pacman.conf
Because the package will not be ignored by pacman, if it is not a member of the group kde, and there is a dependency error with the kde-workspace 4 package.

The ideal case would be removal of kde-common and adding the kdmrc file to the package that contains kdm. I don't see reason to keep kde-common with just one configuration file in it.

Well, sorry, I didn't take a that close look at the package. But indeed, this probably would be more useful to be added to kde-workspace (which owns kdm as I know).

Fair enough. I remeber having a reason for this package but I do not remeber exactly why. (maybe relted to the update process from kde 3 to 4)

However: I think this script can be included in kdebase-workspace which will just replace kde-common.
