Details
On upgrading to the newest packages, my network interface
stops functioning correctly. The kernel module (r8169) is
loaded. ifconfig shows the interface. dhcp times out. static
ip doesnt work.

RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 02) I'm rolled back these packages to fix the issue: glibc-2.8-2 => glibc 2.7-9 binutils-2.18-8 => binutils 2.18-6 findutils-4.4.0-1 => findutils 4.2.33-1 gcc-libs-4.3.1-2 => gcc-libs 4.3.0-1 gcc-4.3.1-2 => gcc 4.3.0-1 kernel26-2.6.25.11-1 => kernel26 2.6.24.4-1 I intended to rollback glibc & kernel, but had to rollback the others to satisfy dependencies. I realize this bug report may not provide enough information - what more should I provide? I've had a number of helpful irc users try to help me with no success. |

Have you tested with the 2.6.26 kernel in testing?
Does this still happen with kernel 2.6.26.2?
The newest kernel fixes the issue - thanks!
