DetailsDescription:
When I copy many large files kernel freezes after some seconds. Sysrq doesn't work anymore once it froze (before freez it works). No relevant entry in the logs. Last entry was 3 mins before the freez) Additional info: rc.conf attached Not tested if it occours when copying files on the same partition. Short sysinfo: Kernel 2.6.25.11-1-ARCH (repo kernel) Nvidia 7950 GT Intel C2D E6300 Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 Logitech G11 and G5 no IDE drives Soundblaster Audigy using OSS/ALSA doesn't matter PCI USB Card Steps to reproduce: rsync -r /huge/folder /empty/folder I used an 140gb ntfs USB HDD and an ext3 SATA2 internal HDD. (both were in /media and had nothing to do with the system) |
This task depends upon
rc.conf
Thanks and feel free to close.
