xulrunner has to be compiled with startup-notification support.
Not doing this makes firefox startup notification behave erroneously.

Add to xulrunner's mozconfig:
ac_add_options --enable-startup-notification
(And update the depends array of course.)

Similar bug in fedora:

Steps to reproduce:
Launch firefox via kde menu, or via some other application like basket etc.
The launch feedback (bouncing cursor) fails to stop after a new firefox window/tab opens.
