Additional comments about closing: fixed in jabberd-2.0s11-7.
As I use a chroot to build packages, I don't get these dependency problems. I didn't bother messing with the configure script.

this might be a "broken" configure script which detects the old db
before the new one. (php and libsasl had the same problem)
