Details

Description:
During installation, manually creating root volume with XFS filesystem. Metadata log is placed on another volume.
This approach requires extra mount options (logdev=).
Trying to continue the installation, but installer mounts without special options, so it fails. Log says no logdev.

Additional info:
* archlinux-2008.06-core-i686.iso


Steps to reproduce:
- start installation
- during partitioning stage, manually "mkfs.xfs" with "-l logdev=" option
- step on to next stage

There's no way the installer can know how you want your filesystems mounted. If you're manually making filesystems, manually mount them to /mnt and skip the "filesystem" parts of the installer. You'll have to pay extra attention to fstab, menu.lst, etc...
