Details

Description:
After installing Plugins for Firefox like "mplayer-plugin" they are not be recognized by Firefox actually.
They are not listed in "about:plugins" in Firefox either.

Problem is, that the Plugin-Folder cannot be viewed by normal Users.
You have to change permissions for /usr/lib/mozilla to 755.
Now restart Firefox and your Plugins are usable.

The permissions of /usr/lib/mozilla are set to 0755 here. There's some package or something on your system that changed it to 0700.

Hmm okay.
I just see, that the "Reported Version" is set to "2007.08-2"
I'm using 2008.06
