Description:
Nautilus does not thumbnail .flv files after the upgrade of shared-mime-info from 0.23 to 0.40 and the subsequent downgrade from 0.40 to 0.30. The same bug has been reported for shared-mime-info 0.30 on debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=486468) What I have found is that .flv files have the mime type video/x-flv when shared-mime-info 0.30 or 0.40 is installed but there is no equivalent gnome thumbnailer (gconf-editor lists application/x-flash-video and video/flv under desktop/gnome/thumbnailers). Fixed the problem here by installing a new thumbnailer schema for video/x-flv (as attached). Additional info: * shared-mime-info 0.30.1 * nautilus 2.22.3-1 Steps to reproduce: Clear out ~/.thumbnails, navigate to a directory containing .flv files with nautilus and then watch what happens. |
This task depends upon
* data/mime-type-list.txt: Add video/x-flv as a support mime-type
So I/we just need to wait.
