volwheel use only an icon (multimedia-volume-control.png) from gnome-icon-theme package.
I wrote this patch, it add an volwheel icon and set volwheel to use it.

Additional info:

I'm attaching the whole volwheel dir with updated PKGBUILD, volwheel icon, and patch.

In principle I agree with this change, but I don't know if it's a good idea to put the png in CVS. It would be better if it's included upstream or maybe the PKGBUILD should have gnome-icon-theme.tar.bz2 in the source array, so the icon could be taken from there.

Sorry I've been very busy these days, but the the new version of volwheel should be out this weekend. And it will definitely solve this bug. In the meantime, do what you want.

Ok, I have some problems with the new version, so I've released v0.2.4 which only includes the icon to install in /usr/share/pixmaps/

My website is down for now (all the problems at the same time) but the download location doesn't change :
