You mean the bash PKGBUILD?
Comment by Charlie Law (dhave) - Saturday, 21 June 2008, 10:25 GMT
Sorry. I'm a noob at bug-filing. I didn't explicitly mention the name of the package in question: bash-3.2.$_patchlevel .

Here's a dumb question: where should I have listed the package name? In the description? Thanks.

Whats the problem? The link to the bash-3.2 source you changed to ftp.gnu.org works fine here

Edit: Yes description suits it best

Or maybe in the summary?

It never worked for me, for some reason. I tried off and on for at least three weeks. Not until I put the ftp.gnu.org link did it work. Otherwise it would seem to begin a download and then choke within about five seconds. Maybe the problem's on my end.

  • Field changed: Summary (Inoperative source file location in ABS PKGBUILD → Bash source file location in PKGBUILD is inoperative )
  • Field changed: Status (Unconfirmed → Assigned)
  • Field changed: Severity (High → Medium)
  • Task assigned to Aaron Griffin (phrakture)
Its VERY slow here too. ftp.gnu.org is maxing my connection. Maybe it would be better to change it anyway.
