Details

Description: After installing the FreeMat package from Pacman, I get the following error:

$ FreeMat
FreeMat: error while loading shared libraries: liblapack.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After doing:
$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/liblapack.so.3 /usr/lib/liblapack.so

I then get the following error:
$ FreeMat
FreeMat: error while loading shared libraries: libcblas.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Based on my minimal understanding of the issue and what I was told in IRC, FreeMat needs to be recompiled.

After seeing that the FreeMat package had been rebuilt for i686, I installed the updated package from pacman and still received the same error.

[stuart@aspire ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu freemat

I think it is too old report (23 jun) or outdated mirror

$ sudo pacman -Q freemat
freemat 3.6-2

$ ldconfig -p|grep liblapack
liblapack.so (ELF) => /usr/lib/liblapack.so

FreeMat runs without any problem
