It might be worthwhile to release a python-gdata with that change. That way we could get rid of the orphaned python-elementtree package. Apart from python-gdata, only 2 community package have it in their depends.

There's an updated python-gdata package in extra for both architectures now. I removed python-elementtree from the repositories, but I think python should provide/replace this package also to get rid of this package on systems that installed it (and to fix dependency compatibility).
