DetailsDescription:
The gamecon kernel module for selfmade parport gamepad interfaces (SNES/NES/N64/PS1...) doesn't work properly anymore. It stopped working as of kernel26 2.6.25. The module loads without complaints, nothing unusual in logs and dmesg. However no jostick devices are created. Additional info: kernel26 2.6.25.4-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. unload parport printing with modprobe -r lp 2. load gamecon module with modprobe gamecon map=0,1,1,1,0,0 (This should create two joystick devices in SNES mode accessible through the first parallel port of the system) |

The recent update to 2.6.25.6-1 is compiled against GCC 4.3.1 and it doesn't work there either.
