Details

Description:
1)torcs bin/ not in PATH
after install:
$ torcs
bash: torcs: command not found
i used to launch /opt/torcs/bin/torcs
2) broken graphics (see screenshot)

torcs-1.3.0-1
* config and/or log files etc

i686+nvidia(96.43.05-4) --> broken graphics
x86_64+fglrx(catalyst 8.5-1) --> segfault after several seconds

sorry,the graphics bug is because old files in ~/.torcs .
after removing this directory the graphics is ok.
but it is strange bug, anyway :)

but still segfauts at x86_64+ati(8.6-1 now)

which soundsystem do you use inside torcs?
