DetailsDescription:
on arch64 gnome-mplayer is setting the pcm volume to full even if i set it to 75 in alsamixer. The volume is reset to 100 when gnome-mplayer start to player any video. Additional info: * package version(s) gnome-mplayer 0.6.2-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Set pcm volume is alsamixer and the play a movie in gnome-player. |
This task depends upon
Do you get this when you play the video straight from mplayer?
Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Mplayer Software Volume Controle Enabled
If/when that setting is enabled Gnome MPlayer should manage its own volume independent from system volume settings. (Note: You may need to restart Gnome MPlayer for the setting to take effect.)
I'd personally like to see the default config turn this option on (I hate media players that f*ck with my system wide volume settings), but I suppose that's something to be passed upstream.
