DetailsDescription:
Since latest upgrade of pm-utils (1.1.2), something is continously deleting the directory /var/run/pm-utils/storage needed to suspend the device. Thus it fails to suspend. Manually creating it solves temporarily the bug, until the directory gets deleted again. Additional info: * package version(s) pm-utils 1.1.2 * config and/or log files etc. Default config Steps to reproduce: Just install this version and you'll get the problem. Downgrading it solves the bug. |

This directory doesn't exist by default and is deleted and recreated by a function in pm-functions. Are you suspending the system as non-root user?

I also have the problem regarding /var/run/pm-utils/storage. I suspend as non-root user via sudo.

I tried both, through sudo and directly as root.

But I got it worked perfectly with IBM T40. I use it in gnome and I am in power user group.

Works fine here with gnome-power-manager and latest pm-utils.

Yeah, forgot to write here: version 1.1.2.2 solved the problem, so I guess it was a bug from the app itself and not the package. I guess this task shall be closed.
