curl needs libidn library:

$ curl
ld.so.1: curl: fatal: libidn.so.11: open failed: No such file or directory

What packages own ld.so.1 ? I don't have it on my system.

Can you run:
$ ldd /usr/bin/curl |grep libidn

Here it doesn't return anything so it's not linked to libidn.

ldd don't return anything.
curl don't require libidn, I tried it without and curl works.
an Italian user said me libidn is a depends of curl, but it isn't.
you can close this bug report.
