This task depends upon
Can you run:
$ ldd /usr/bin/curl |grep libidn
Here it doesn't return anything so it's not linked to libidn.
curl don't require libidn, I tried it without and curl works.
an Italian user said me libidn is a depends of curl, but it isn't.
