Current GCC in Archlinux produces corrupted code. See http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35833 and http://bugs.python.org/issue2626 for more details. A simple update to the newest version will fix it as the bug is marked as resolved in the gcc bug tracker Additional info: * gcc-4.3.0-1 * -ftree-vrp flag has to be used. Steps to reproduce: Download Python 3.0 source tarball and attempt to compile. Watch out as your system load will become very high(see Python bug report). |

on 4.3.1 it compiles fine I think it's solved
