DetailsXFCE on Arch currently has very little in the way of support for suspend/hibernation. Ubuntu and several other distros use a patch that makes the logout screen show suspend and hibernate options; IMHO this patch would make XFCE significantly less annoying to use on laptops.
Granted, I'm not sure how the patch fits with Arch's KISS philosophy; but I, for one, don't see anything overcomplicated or gratuitously hacky about it. |
