Details

Description:

The mingw gcc compiler is not able to link libraries that are have standard Windows name (foo.* instead libfoo.*) by passing -lfoo to the compiler and manual linking is required. This makes cross compiling very annoying

I upload official 3.4.5 mingw gcc release for i686.

Please try it and confirm.

It works now. The problem, however, is, that plenty of packages (wxWidgets for instance) won't compile because of old GCC :-(
Isn't there any new prerelease out?

There is a 4.3.0 alpha release.

I suggest rather upgrading to 4.3.0 I think that it is less troublesome at this moment...

The usability of old mingw32 versions (even the "old" 4.2.1 version) is low. I suggest trying 4.3.0 again...
