Description:
kexec-tools from http://www.xmission.com/~ebiederm/files/kexec/ is unmaintained for years. The kexec-tools-testing branch at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/horms/kexec-tools/ is actively maintained by Simon Horman. The SUSE distribution uses that branch since a year and it works well.

Well, the request is to switch to kexec-tools-testing in ARCH. :)

Status: not implemented. No package in testing.
kexec-tools-testing actually has a stable release now, kexec-tools 2.0.0.
