DetailsI upgraded from enchant 1.3.0-1 to 1.4.1-2 (i686) and after the upgrade, every word typed in pidgin is flagged as a misspelling. Downgrading to 1.3.0-1 reverts to the previous behavior of nothing being flagged as a misspelling in pidgin.

Do you have a myspell or aspell dictionary installed for your locale? I don't see any way of selecting a language for pidgin's spellcheck plugin, but after installing aspell-en (I use en_US as locale), pidgin's spellcheck works fine after restarting pidgin. The old enchant didn't check words when there was no dictionary available, the new one does.

switching spellcheck languages can be done with the switch spellcheck plugin from purple-plugin-pack btw.

I installed aspell-en and this problem has gone away. Thanks!
