The solution described at http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.user/13790 works perfectly. I've added --enable-glib to the ./configure options in the PKGBUILD of bluez-utils, run makepkg and restarted the bluetooth daemon.

Adding --enable-glib to configure options and building from ABS have fixed the problem for me too.

Thanks for the solution. This may already be fixed in the next bluez version though.
